Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, writer, anchor for CNN's morning program "New Day" as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees at Westport Country Playhouse. The three decades she has spent in journalism have seen her cover stories across the country and in other countries. Furthermore, she has been awarded an Edward R. Murrow Award and the Emmy Award. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford is now an honorary board member following having served on the board for 7 consecutive years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who currently serves as chair of the Westport board following her time as a board member since 2013, has also been named newly appointed as a board member. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who has served as acting chairperson since the end of October 2015.
