
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on January 19, 2008. She was an American film voice actor, TV host and voice actor. [1] Pleshette began her professional career in the theater and began appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s and later was featured in films of note like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 to 1978 Pleshette was a frequent guest on various television productions. She also appeared in Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer, who was stage-named Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager at both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
