JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez, a model and actress from Sri Lanka was born 11 August 1985. She has worked in Indian films, mainly in Hindi and has also appeared in reality shows and music videos. Debuting with Aladin in 2009 and has since started her career within the Hindi film industry. Fernandez was born and was raised in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian family with Sri Lankan, Canadian, and Malaysian origin. She received her MA in mass communication at the University of Sydney, and worked as a journalist for TV in Sri Lanka. Then she started her modeling career. Her name was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2006. Fernandez is under investigation for money laundering of the sum of Rs200 million since December 2021. Fernandez was questioned for 10 hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in connection to the case on 9/12/2021. On the 22nd of December, ED rejected Fernandez's request to downgrade the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued against her in the matter that prohibits her from travelling outside India
